TIMELESS CONTINUITY
This renovation project was conceived to enhance the existing apartment while preserving its original layout. The distribution of the rooms remained unchanged, with structural interventions kept to a minimum, allowing the design to focus on spatial perception, refined detailing and carefully selected materials.
The opening of two large portals between the living room and the hallway creates a stronger visual connection, increasing both the sense of openness and the flow of natural light. The result is a more fluid living space where each area retains its identity while becoming part of a harmonious whole.
A defining feature of the project is the lacquered wood wall “boiserie” that runs throughout the apartment, acting as a unifying architectural element. Its mouldings are echoed in the interior doors, creating continuity and a cohesive design language across every room.
Material selection plays a central role in shaping the character of the interiors. The living areas feature Oak parquet flooring laid in a Hungarian point pattern, while the bedrooms are finished with solid Teak flooring, adding warmth and timeless elegance.
Extensive bespoke joinery has been designed to integrate seamlessly with the architecture of the apartment. Finished in warm neutral tones, with lacquered surfaces and oak veneers, the custom-made furniture combines functionality with understated sophistication, creating interiors that are both welcoming and enduring.
